Last Tuesday, we had the incredible honor of attending the Sulphur Springs Terrific Tuesdays Club 20th anniversary event, which was dedicated to raising awareness for Alzheimer’s, Dementia, & Memory Loss. This cause holds a special place in my heart.
You see, my grandmother battled dementia/Alzheimer’s, and she was not just a patient but my roommate. From a young age, I became a part of her caretaking team, working alongside my family to provide the best possible care for her. Those years spent by her side truly shaped my life and helped me find my purpose in serving and helping others.
The event was a powerful reminder of the impact of this devastating disease and the importance of supporting those affected by it. It was a moment to reflect on the memories and experiences that my grandmother and I shared, and to honor her courageous battle.
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a meaningful event. Together, let’s continue to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease and support those who are on this challenging journey.
